Our Holiday Policy

This page details our holiday and cancellations policy.

Here at Nancy's Doggy Daycare, we are keen to provide a service as flexible as possible, however we do have a 'holiday policy' in place where we reference absences of longer than one week.

Holidays are important!

That's why at Nancy's Doggy Daycare we do not have a minimum attendance requirement, nor do we implement a nursery structure - where you get charged for your 'set days' regardless of attendance - like lots of other daycares do.

We do however need to cover our own backs in order to meet our monthly expenses. During summer holidays in particular, we have lots of long absences so we came up with the following holiday policy to ensure that the customers get as flexible a service as possible and meanwhile ensure that we don't go bankrupt every August!

Our policies

HOLIDAYS/LONG ABSENCES

You are entitled to one week off without charge. For any consecutive weeks, you will be charged your average rate (calculated as average days per week in the previous 4 weeks).

For example: your dog attends daycare twice a week (£100 per week) on average, and you take them sightseeing in Germany for two weeks.

The first week would be free of charge, and the second week would be charged at £100, per your average attendance.

You can avoid a holiday fee if you add days during the same calendar month to meet your average monthly attendance.

CANCELLATIONS

Bookings cancelled less than one week in advance are still chargeable unless the booking is rescheduled within the same calendar month.

If you forget to cancel a booking and we arrive at your house to collect the dog, you will be charged in full for that day. 

We do not currently have a notice period for permanent departure, but please let us know in advance as possible as we will always want to have a proper goodbye with your darling dogs.

RESCHEDULING

LATE PAYMENT FEES

We invoice on the 25th of every month (sometimes a day or two out if it is Christmas or similar) and you  have 7 days in order to maker payment.

If payment is not made within 7 days you will be subject to a flat £40 late payment fee which will be added to the following month's  invoice.

If you are rescheduling or adding days in order to offset the holiday fees, please let me know so I can edit your invoice accordingly.
